For as long as I’ve worked in brand communications, I’ve been drawn to purpose.

Early in my career, I worked at a boutique PR agency specializing in up-and-coming beauty brands. While I had access to all the latest makeup, skincare, and hair care, what truly excited me was the story behind each brand - why it existed, what problem it aimed to solve, and what drove its founder to create it.

Later, as I moved in-house, I made purpose my non-negotiable. If I was going to champion a brand, I needed to believe in it myself. I was fortunate to work with mission-driven founders who made that easy. Their passion was contagious, and their impact was real.

When I was laid off in 2024, I found myself at a crossroads. I had spent years helping brands tell their stories, but now, I needed to redefine my own.

I kept coming back to the people who had inspired me most: the founders who built businesses with heart, the friends who had pivoted to purposeful work in midlife, and the everyday individuals making a difference in the world. Their stories lit a spark in me. And I knew I wasn’t alone in needing that kind of inspiration.

That’s why I launched The Reignition Project—a weekly newsletter that highlights individuals who have found purpose, made a shift, or started something that matters. It’s for anyone in midlife who feels stuck but knows, deep down, that something new is waiting to be lit.

I keep each edition short - more of a spark than a slow burn. My goal is simple: to spread some good and, hopefully, ignite something in others along the way.

I may go a little overboard on the fire puns.
